Kim Kardashian got into some hot water recently about her advice to women
in business.
She said:
"Get your f*cking ass up and work ... since it seems like nobody wants to work these days"
And then the Internet exploded.
She was attacked for her privilege and having grown up in a rich family, and she got tweets like this from Jameela Jamil:
"I think if you grew up in Beverly Hills with super successful parents in what was simply a smaller mansion... nobody needs to hear your thoughts on success/work ethic"
I get what Kim was trying to say, and I've said some negative stuff in the past about the lack of work ethic coming from aspiring entrepreneurs, but my thinking has changed *somewhat* since I made those comments ...
While I know there will always be the "get rich quick" types who expect to make a million bucks in a month without working very hard for it, there are a lot of folks out there who have the work ethic and discipline to become successful - but they don't have a plan to follow and they get frustrated by the lack of results they're seeing.
It's hard to keep hammering away at things when it seems like nothing is happening, so I understand the lack of motivation that can bubble to the surface in those situations.
But if those people had a solid plan that gave results (as long as they followed it), I suspect that they would work very hard and they wouldn't be labelled as "lazy".
If you're someone who wants to coach business owners, but you crave direction and support, I have something that will give it to you.
