Building a successful coaching business isn't easy.
Instead of sugarcoating it, and claiming that there's a magic formula that will let you do it while working five minutes a week while sipping wine in your hot tub, I'd rather keep it real.
I guess I'm a lot like the famous Arctic explorer, Ernest Shackleton ...
Ernie had the right idea when he posted the following ad in his local newspaper when looking for men to join him on one of his crazy expeditions:
"MEN WANTED for hazardous journey, small wages, bitter cold, long months of complete darkness, constant danger, safe return doubtful, honor and recognition in case of success - Ernest Shackleton, 4 Burlington St."
That's not to say that you can't do well as a coach - you can run a very nice business that gives you the freedom and lifestyle that you want while being paid well ...
But it's going to take elbow grease and some sleepless nights to do it.
When I choose which coaches I want in my world, I'm careful about not letting the GRQ (Get-Rich-Quick) crowd in.
I want people who think big, but who are also prepared to work for it.
Scanning the names of the people who have joined my Secret Coach Club print newsletter since 2017 and I see familiar ones who I know are grinders.
They show up online every day, they put the effort in, they aren't looking to make a quick buck.
They're a coach for the long haul.
If you want to come on this journey with me, there's still a few days to get in for a "Marc's birthday" special of 50% off the usual annual subscription since the deadline is this Sunday at midnight EST:
