It's not all sunshine, lollipops, and roses for successful people.
I'm seeing a trend where successful people are being attacked for being ... successful.
I know this has probably happened throughout history - you just didn't hear about it as much since there was no social media (plus people could get their heads chopped off for insulting Kings and higher-ups)
Once someone becomes successful in the online world, the haters and trolls pop out of the woodwork to spew their nasty words.
A few weeks ago I posted the following on Facebook:
===
"I saw a TikTok yesterday where a woman gave her reasons why she'll never attend another Tony Robbins event ... EVER!!!!!!!!!!
She went to a recent Robbins event and what did this monster have the nerve to do?!? Brace yourselves because this is disgusting and very ugly, you might even have trouble sleeping tonight:
- He had the nerve to give his personal opinion about a hot topic/current event - like no influencer has ever done that (Has she noticed the amount of opinions thrown around and all of the lame virtue signalling going on - especially in the last 5 or 6 years? I guess not)
- He talked about how he had to pivot his business in March 2020, and built a studio to host virtual events since in-person ones were cancelled ...he said that by doing so he was able to reach a million people virtually vs. only 15,000 or so he could reach at his events pre-COVID and his business did well (the nerve of him, growing his business during the pandemic?!? Wouldn't it be much better if his business folded like all of the others that were put under by
government restrictions the last few years?)
The video reeked of jealousy and bitterness, gleefully attacking successful people. It was especially disheartening to read the comments of similar-minded folks cheering her on, and comparing him to Hitler for what I mentioned above.
My two cents: If you attack successful people, don't be surprised when success evades you"
