In the world of sports, plenty of teams are just one missing piece (an important player) away from winning it all.
In baseball, it could be a lefty bat to balance the lineup, or a flamethrowing closer who can shut down the opposing team late in the game.
Although they won the World Series last year, the Atlanta Braves stumbled out of the gate early this season and were disappointing fans until two rookies, Michael Harris II and Spencer Strider, got called up from the minors to join the team.
The two youngsters
had an immediate impact (one of them will almost certainly win the National League Rookie of the Year award) and the Braves have been on fire since those additions.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Braves repeated and won the World Series again this year, which my Blue Jays did back in 1992 and 1993 (I just had to work that in there!).
The coaching world has similarities to this "missing piece" thing, since coaches can have a lot of things in place to succeed but still be missing something that keeps them from hitting their stride.
Jessica Perez-Beebe realized this
when her business coach colleagues started sending her clients who they'd already taught how to build an email list, funnels, etc but for some reason weren't gaining traction.
They sent them to Jessica because they thought there was an issue with mindset and productivity, but she discovered there were a few other big reasons why those coaches were
struggling.
She's going to be going over the missing pieces for coaches in her upcoming "Mission, Message & Why" workshop that's happening from September 19th to September 21st.
