I often talk with people who are just getting into coaching and are in the beginning stages of their new businesses ...
One thing I've noticed is that they usually discount the experience that they have from their past, and don't give it the proper credit it deserves.
They could have years, or even decades, of time spent in a certain industry and received all of the knowledge/leadership traits that come with that, but they wipe the slate clean and assume that they're the same as a brand spanking new 20 year old life coach.
That's a mistake!
When building your coaching business, even a new one, you should always give your experience the credit it deserves, and weave it into your marketing and discussions you have with potential clients.
I was talking about this with Karen Cappello the other day, as she was telling me about a few of her clients who turned decades of experience in various fields into successful coaching businesses (she's done just as well with coaches who have less experience, by the way)
She's going to be showing how she helps coaches build successful
businesses with ease and joy in the training that we're doing on Tuesday.
