Looking at the titles on my bookshelf, I noticed something:
Although there are books from all different times there, the ones that stick out and have had the most impact were (for the most part) written many years ago.
Sure, there’s “Thick Face, Black Heart” by Chin Ning Chu which was written in 1992. But others are much older, like:
“Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill (1937)
“Psycho-Cybernetics” by Maxwell Maltz (1960)
“How To Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie (1936)
“As A Man Thinketh” by James Allen (1903)
“The Science Of Getting Rich” by Wallace Wattles (1910)
What’s
exciting about building a business in 2023, especially in the coaching or personal development space, is you’re creating something that could help people in 2123.
That person could be reading an old book or blog post by you, or listening to an ancient podcast of yours while living in a space station … and that person could even be Keith Richards (there’s a good
chance he’ll still be around in 100 years).
If you'd like your coaching business to stick around after you're gone, I'm giving those on my email list a free digital copy of my Secret Coach Club newsletter which will help you build a strong foundation for it.
