I love baseball and I'm a big Toronto Blue Jays fan ... they've really been on fire lately (although they did lose last night, I guess you can't win them all!).  The team was in contention at the end of July, but I wouldn't have bet the farm that they would make the playoffs back then since they were only playing "so-so" ...

What a difference a month makes!  The team made some trades, won a few games in early August and have gone on a tear where they've won 18 out of 23 games .  You can now sense the confidence that they have going into every game  - they EXPECT to win.  They're fired up and they've had some thrilling late-game, come-from-behind wins too.  It's been a lot of fun for the fans! 

So what can coaches learn from this?  Your energy has a big part in your success.  If you aren't fired up with confidence, potential clients can sense it.  You come across as defeated, and it's hard to grow your business that way.  Focus on making some small wins to boost your confidence.  That will put you on a roll, and soon you'll be dripping with so much confidence that you'll surprise yourself! 

Pay close attention to the vibe that you're putting out.  Don't be afraid to have confidence and some ego, clients want to work with someone that believes in themselves!
