Two Books That Will Change Your Life

Hi ,

This fall I've had the opportunity to read two books that have really had an impact on me.  The interesting thing is that the two books are packaged very differently: one is hard-hitting and unapologetically "in-your-face", while the other one has a softer tone, but is no-less impactful.

The hard-hitting book that I'm referring to is "Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable" by Tim S. Grover. Grover works with some of the top athletes in the world to help them play their A-games.  He's worked with NBA stars like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Dwayne Wade, and he shares what makes them so great.

What I took from this book was the importance of self-discipline.  These "cleaners", as Grover calls them, put achievement above all else and keep working on something until the job is done.  It's an attitude that can benefit everyone, if put into practice.

The other book that I love is "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron.  I'm not finished this one yet, since there are 12 weeks of exercises that take time to do, but it's an awesome book for finding your voice and becoming a better creator.  I think it's important for coaches to have their own voice come through with what they're putting out into the world, and this book can help you with that as well.

So there you have it - two very different books, but both very impactful.  If you read them, I'd love to hear what you think of them!
