Creating That Special Feeling!

I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan ...

As a child of the 80's, I grew up using sticks as lightsabers, and tried to use "The Force" (sadly, I wasn't able to pull that trick off).

The cool thing about having a 7 year old son is that I get to now live through him!

Last Friday night I took Gray to see "The Force Awakens" for the second time, and we had just as much fun.

And I've been encouraging others, even non-fans, to go see it (seriously, Disney should be paying me a commission from all of my efforts here) 

On opening weekend, when the "Star Wars" title crawl and iconic music first hit the screen, the crowd ERUPTED with excited cheers ... it was nuts!   

The new Star Wars movie has grossed almost $2 Billion so far ...

So WHY is Star Wars so successful???

Because it's not selling a movie, but rather, a FEELING!

Done properly, coaching evokes a special feeling too.  When we're part of that TRANSFORMATION, they'll never forget it.  They'll remember what you did for many years. 

They become raving fans (if you haven't read Kevin Kelly's "1000 Raving Fans" article from back in 2008, Google it, it's worth a read) 

When you create raving fans, they'll become repeat customers and they'll also be your own walking billboard.

You may not make $2 Billion as a coach, but I can guarantee you'll do very well, and you'll be on Cloud Nine from the good that you're doing. 

Now get out there and get those raving fans (and see the new Star Wars movie if you haven't already!)
