What do you think of when
you hear the names Muhammad Ali, Babe Ruth, and Jackson Pollock?
Many consider them as the greatest in their respective fields of boxing, baseball and art.
They have legions of fans who marvel at what they did …
They were “naturals”, right???
NO!
I’m reading “Mindset” by Carol Dweck at the moment (a must-read for coaches), and she explains that all three of them WERE NOT naturals at
what they did …
Muhammad Ali didn’t have what was considered the best measurements (the “Tale of the Tape”, in boxing lingo), and his style left much to be desired. Critics said that he exposed his chin too much, and he didn’t defend his opponents’ punches the right way.
Babe Ruth drank like a fish, ate enough to feed a small country and certainly didn’t have what was considered an athletic physique.
Jackson Pollock’s early
works weren’t very good, and no one would have predicted that he would go on to revolutionize modern art.
You have to be willing to learn, grow and practice to be good at anything!
Muhammad Ali learned how to play with the other guys’ minds, to make up for his physical disadvantage in the boxing ring.
Babe Ruth had to exercise more than others in the off-seasons so he could crush the ball as far as
he did. And he put 100% effort into every swing of the bat.
Pollock had to continually practice and hammer away at his art, until he discovered his unique style of drip painting.
Coaching is the same.
You aren’t going to come out of the gate and be the best you can be. It takes patience, hard work, a willingness to learn …
And real life experience ACTUALLY COACHING
clients!
That’s what I'm running a group program for coaches that starts next week. I believe there’s a gaping hole in the coaching industry - it's with coaches having difficulty getting clients.
And I'm going to fix that, because no clients = no experience, no opportunity to master your craft.
Over 12 weeks I’ll be working directly with the small group to get clients in your door. I’m running several groups at different times, to
accommodate time zones around the world (so far we have coaches in the US, Canada and the UK, and I'd love to have some awesome coaches from other countries too!).
I’ve got a few spots available ... and since it’s in a small group format you can work with me at just 25% of my 1:1 rates.
Looking forward to helping you with your business,
Marc
PS: Not sure if the program is right for you??? Hit REPLY and we can set up a chat to answer any questions that you have ... I want to help you grow your
business!
