Are You Ready To Leave Bunnyburrow???

Published: Wed, 03/09/16

Last weekend I took Gray to see the movie "Zootopia", which we both enjoyed (so it gets four "Mawhinney Thumbs Up"!).  Without giving any spoilers, a lesson popped out at me for coaches ...

So in the movie, the main character is a bunny named Judy Hopps, who lives in the rural community of Bunnyburrow with her family - which includes an overprotective mother and father, and a couple of hundred brothers and sisters.

Judy dreams of leaving her little burrow for the big city of Zootopia. Although there has never been a bunny on Zootopia's police force, she dreams of making it onto the force there.

Judy is a BIG dreamer.

Everyone thinks she's crazy - the local kids think she's nuts and her parents desperately try to talk her out of going to Zootopia to pursue her dream (they want her to be a carrot farmer, like they are.)

I won't spoil the movie, but as you can guess from the title, Judy doesn't choose to be a carrot farmer (that would be pretty boring, wouldn't it???)

We coaches are big dreamers too, just like Judy.  And a lot of our dreams make us seem crazy to the "normal" people in our lives - you know, the ones with the 9-5 jobs.

But like Judy, we have to block out the critics and push past our fears too.

I see people giving into their fears every day and holding back.  And that's a shame, because they have a lot to offer ... if they would only block out the fear and keep moving forward.

If your big dream is to have a successful coaching business - but something has been holding you back - then check out my Accelerate For Clients group program which starts the week of March 21st.  It's designed to encourage action, and action is the best antidote for fear out there!

There's a PDF with the program outline for all 12 weeks on the website. Check it out, and if you're interested let me know. We still have a few spots left in the group.

It's time to push past your fear -  if a bunny rabbit can do it, you can too!
