Gary Vaynerchuk Is My Gym Buddy

Published: Sun, 04/24/16

When I go to the gym, I'm not like a lot of people who listen to music to pump them up.

I like old music like Elvis, The Beach Boys and Buddy Holly, so listening to the King's "It's Now or Never" wouldn't exactly get me fired up while working out!

No, when I go to the gym, I listen to business and personal development audiobooks (I love my Audible subscription.)

I can usually finish an audiobook a week, from the gym and time in the car, so it works out great (no pun intended.)

I just finished listening to Gary Vaynerchuk's new book, "#AskGaryVee", and if you haven't checked it out I recommend that you do ...

It's over 11 hours of Gary answering questions that he's been asked. Everything from social media strategies to leadership to parenthood and more.

If you've watched any of his videos, you know that he has a contagious energy, so I think it's best to listen to the audiobook instead of reading the print version.  He does some cool ad-libbing and stuff for that version too, which I found refreshing.

Some people aren't fans of Gary because they think he's blunt, crude and he drops the occasional curse word.  For me, this is what makes him so appealing - he speaks his mind!

So if you're looking for a good book, I highly recommend this one (anyone who's been on my list for some time knows that I don't throw book recommendations around lightly!)

Now it's time for me to get to know my new gym buddy, Robert Greene.  I'll be spending 23 hours listening to "The 48 Laws of Power" ...

Cheers,

Marc
