I admit it, I used to
take on almost every potential client who came into contact with me.
I say almost, because I had one criteria ... they had to have a pulse to work with me!
So whether they were an ideal client or not, I would slap on my red cape and get to work. I was determined to help anyone, even if they didn't want to help themselves.
After enough time doing this, I was getting burned out from it.
It's exhausting working with people who aren't the right fit for your business.
So I took my red cape off, threw on my Clark Kent glasses, and started journaling.
What came from that exercise is for the first time ever I put down on paper who my ideal clients were (if you've read my eBook, The Real ABCs of a Successful Coaching Business, you'll remember that I listed out the 5
criteria)
It meant having to break up with a few clients, and turning down other suitors.
It was a huge change in my business. I was suddenly having more fun, and my numbers were much better when I worked with the right clients.
I shot a video where I talk about the dangers of working with the wrong people, and what you can do to fix it. Here's the link to check it out:
Follow this advice,
and you'll have a lot less stress with your coaching business,
