Workin' your content creation muscle

Published: Mon, 09/05/16

If you want to get known in your market, you have to create content.

I'm often asked how I create so much stuff: daily emails, blogs, podcasts, videos, social media posts, eBooks, a real book (ETA later this year) ...

I've joked that I have a team of monkeys chained to typewriters out back, but that's not the case (that would be pretty cool though)

I'm able to create so much content for a few reasons:

1) I love what I do and I think about it a lot ... If you don't love your business, it's hard to get motivated to create. If I had to create content based around knitting, stamp collecting, bird watching, or something else that I had no interest in, I wouldn't be able to create much at all.

2) I know that content creation works!  I'm a believer in it, and I've gotten a lot of business over the years from my content.  So every keystroke, or minute of video is money in the bank, eventually.

3) Over the years I've built up my "content creation muscle".  If you want to build your muscles, you go to the gym consistently.  It's the same with content creation - things that you used to take me an hour to create now take ten minutes, but it took discipline to get to this point.

I'm seeing this happen now with my 1:1 clients, since I'm banging into their heads the importance of consistent, daily content creation and sharing of that content.

A few of my clients have been doing it for just about two weeks, and they're starting to see the results already.

If you'd like to get similar results, book a call and we'll chat more about it:

Cheers,
