My friend and fellow
coach, Dana Pharant, shared a funny story on Facebook the other day ...
It was about a woman in Australia who spent $500 saving the life of her $12 goldfish, which swallowed a pebble and required life-saving surgery.
This is why I shake my head when coaches question whether people will pay for coaching.
If someone will go in the hole $500 to save a goldfish, shouldn't that tell you that people will
pay for coaching?
I admit, goldfish can be fun to look at for a few seconds. But come on, you can't pat them. They can't play fetch, roll over, or play tricks. They can't do the parrot-thing and talk. They do nothing but float around.
Zzzzzzz
Coaching changes lives. It improves relationships, reduces stress, helps people lose weight, make more money ... it helps people be
happier.
Isn't that a lot cooler than a boring old goldfish?
There are women on Fiverr who charge $5 to shoot a video wearing a bikini and walking around holding a sign with whatever you want it to say. So if you want to wish your buddy Bob a happy birthday, you can get him a video like that.
And people pay for it!
These are just some of the examples of things
that people open their wallets for.
The next time you doubt the marketplace for coaching, think of goldfish and Fiverr bikini models.
I've opened up a few spots this week to connect with people looking to get their coaching businesses rolling. If you'd like one, go here:
