I love the show
Breaking Bad.
If you haven't watched it before, do yourself a favour and check it out - it's awesome.
In one of the most famous scenes of the series, high-school-science-teacher-turned-drug-kingpin Walt is having an argument with his wife, Skyler, in their bedroom.
His wife (who for a long time didn't know that he was really the drug overlord "Heisenberg") is terrified for his safety
and pleads with him to go to the police. She tells him that she's afraid that there will one day be a knock at the door and someone will hurt or kill him.
Walt turns his back to her, and then transforms in an instant. He turns around and says:
"Who are you talking to right now? Who is it you think you see? Do you know how much I make a year? I mean, even if I told you, you wouldn't believe it. Do you
know what would happen if I suddenly decided to stop going into work? A business big enough that it could be listed on the NASDAQ goes belly up. Disappears! It ceases to exist without me. No, you clearly don't know who you're talking to, so let me clue you in. I am not in danger, Skyler. I am the danger. A guy opens his door and gets shot and you think that of me? No. *I* am the one who knocks!"
Although Walt made some questionable decisions
throughout the series (I'm all for entrepreneurship, but I don't recommend building a drug empire), you can't question his transformation and his conviction. He started the series as a meek, mild science teacher who was afraid of his own shadow ... and by the end of the series, he's Heisenberg.
We can undergo startling transformations in our own lives too, if we have the desire and conviction to do it.
I've seen clients
go from being extreme introverts or very shy, to suddenly sharing their messages with the world in an unabashed manner.
They've admitted to me that they never thought they could do it, but they underwent a Walt-like transformation and stopped holding back.
Those kinds of transformations are why I do what I do. If you're interested in making a similar transformation as a coach, book a call with me
here:
I can't help you with a drug empire, but coaching businesses are my
thing,
