A few days ago I killed
my LinkedIn group.
It's something that I should have done months ago.
I post to LinkedIn daily. I've gotten some business from it, but I just wasn't doing anything with the group.
(I'm more of a "Facebook guy")
It had become a distraction, and I didn't have the time (or patience) to moderate the spam that it was getting hit with.
That
darn group had become a pain in my rear end, and I instantly felt better killing it off.
Odds are that you have something that's a big distraction for you. Something that you feel guilty about not doing, when really you should have mercy and end it.
Don't let unimportant things distract you from your mission or occupy any space in your mind. You only have so much energy to spend, so be smart with where you spend
it.
It's like Jim Collins' said: "If you have more than three priorities, you don't have any"
My LinkedIn group wasn't a priority, so it had to go.
R.I.P. my LinkedIn group,
Marc
PS: I've been putting a lot of my energy into my Facebook group, The Coaching Jungle. We've got almost 4000 coaches in there, and tons of good stuff is
being shared daily. To join the group, go here:
