I'm going all woo-woo on you today

I'm not a woo-woo guy, but I'm going to veer into some of that stuff today (stay with me here).

One of my favourite chapters in Think and Grow Rich is the one about master mind groups.

According to the author (Napoleon Hill), a master mind is "a friendly alliance with one or more persons who will encourage one to follow through with both plan and purpose".

I've been involved in various master minds over the years, and I've had the chance to talk about them with a lot of coaches too.

It seems like we (myself included) often fall into the trap of thinking that a master mind has to have a lot of people in it to be effective.

A master mind doesn't have to have 10 people or structured meetings in fancy hotel conference rooms to work effectively.

They can be made up of just you and one other person, as long as both people are sincere and want to help each other (Negative Nellies don't fit well in master minds).

Here's an example of a master mind:

Just last weekend, my girlfriend and I took a drive out to the country to relax and see some places she hasn't seen before.

But it wasn't all sight-seeing: I did the driving, and she brought along her journal and a pen (our idea of fun includes talking about business!)

On that trip, I hammered out the outline and details for an online program that I'm launching soon. I've been putting the program on the back-burner to complete other projects, but ideas really flew as we were driving along and talking about it.

There was some good energy going around in our little "master mind-in-a-car" that day, and it gave me a kick to get the program moving.

Don't overthink master minds ...

You can get started this weekend with your spouse or partner, your friend, or family member as long as that person is positive and has your best interests at heart.  If they aren't on board with your business and are constantly bugging you to get/stay at a 9-to-5, I'd move on to someone else.

If you want to see the power of master minds, let's join up. Details here:

Don't worry, my bouncer keeps the Negative Nellies from getting in,
