No writing makes Marc go something something

There's a great episode of The Simpsons from back in the day where they spoofed The Shining.

The family goes to watch Mr. Burns' summer cottage for him, and Homer goes a little crazy when he doesn't have his usual favourite things at his disposal:

TV and beer.

Homer writes "No TV and no beer make Homer go crazy" all over the walls.  And then there was this exchange with his wife, Marge ...

Homer: "No TV and no beer make Homer go something something".
Marge: "Go crazy?"
Homer: "Don't mind if I do!" (and he then tries to kill his family)

I get where Homer is coming from ...

Not the writing on walls/trying to butcher your family part, but I know how it feels to be separated from what you enjoy doing most.

For me, it's coaching and writing.

Luckily, I still did my client calls over the Christmas holidays, so all was good there.

But my writing schedule was a little out of whack. With no school, I had my little guy more than usual, and I wasn't in my peak productivity flow state (I'm not sure if anyone really is around Christmas?)

Going into the holidays I expected to do more writing than usual, and I ended up doing less.

I'm back on the horse now, but that's how you can tell you're meant to do something.

If it drives you nuts when you can't do it, if you'd rather do it than anything else - then you know you've found your calling.

It may not be writing for you.  I know people who get giddy before reading a good book, shooting videos, or speaking in front of crowds ...

Or coaching clients, of course.

When I work with coaches, I'm helping them discover what they love doing, and then we incorporate it into their business.

This makes business more fun, and profitable for them (win/win)

If you'd like help getting that kind of clarity with your coaching business, my next group program opens up later this month.  Check it out to see if it's a fit for you:

Let's do this,
