I haven't been asked for any advice on how to spend New Year's Eve, but I'm going to share it with you for being a valued email subscriber in 2016. 

Ready?  Grab a pen and paper, here it is ... 

Instead of blowing a bunch of money, worrying about drunk drivers, and waking up with a hangover tomorrow morning ... watch the movie Joy.

It stars Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert DeNiro - and in my opinion, it's a must-watch for entrepreneurs.

Julia and I watched it the other night, and we both felt like staying up all night and working away on our businesses after seeing it.

It's based on the true story of Joy Mangano, inventor of "The Miracle Mop" and countless other products, who became a legend on The Home Shopping Network.

The film shows the persistence that she had and her refusal to take "no" for an answer. Nowadays, too many people want the quick wins and are ready to give up at the first sign of defeat. 

Remember that building a business is HARD (if it wasn't, everyone would be doing it ... and that wouldn't be fun, would it???) 

I'm all for occasionally watching "popcorn movies" and mindless entertainment (I watched the sequel to Dumb and Dumber the other night,) but when you find a movie that's entertaining AND that motivates you, then that's golden. 

Not to begrudge those who are going out tonight - but if you do that, stay safe.
