A few years ago, I had the pleasure of eating at Five Guys Restaurant for the first time (my part of the world
doesn't have any of them).
I noticed something about the restaurant ...
It has a super simple menu!
It basically has burgers, fries and milkshakes. It doesn't have 100's of different types of foods to appeal to everyone, yet it's super popular and has a very loyal fan base.
Coaches can learn a thing or two from Five Guys' approach ...
I'm seeing a lot of coaches with so many offerings that it's hard to tell
what they do exactly.
If you need a spreadsheet to track your offers, you probably have too many and it's going to lead to the "deer-caught-in-headlights" look from your prospects.
With my coaching business, I have just a few things:
-> My 1:1 and group coaching
-> My online programs, like my "Your First 5 Clients"
-> My "Secret Coach Club" print newsletter for coaches
That's
it.
I had a call yesterday with someone who asked how she could work with me, and I was able to spit it out quickly. It didn't take me 20 minutes to go through tons of options - it's nice and easy, just like Five Guys.
If you're having trouble getting clients to sign up with you, don't look at adding more programs and services. Try instead to cut back and make it easier for them to understand what you do.
Do this and you'll have a tasty
coaching business ...
The offering that I'm most excited about in my business at the moment is right here:
Bon
Appetit,
