In yesterday's email, I talked about the importance of knowing your numbers and promised to show you my secret for
staying accountable to hit mine.
My secret?
Find a mentor or coach to keep you on track.
Back in my past life in real estate, that person was my broker, Ralph.
Back then my goal was to make 20 prospecting calls every weekday. I tracked those calls on a daily "call log" sheet, and at the end of every day, I left a copy of my tracker on
Ralph's desk.
After enough time of this, he said to me:
"Marc, you're doing great. You don't need to keep leaving these sheets on my desk!"
He was probably getting sick of seeing them, but I told him that it helped me get them done.
If I didn't hit my 20 calls, I would feel like I was failing and letting him down.
If I made
just 18 calls one day, I made sure I called 22 people the next day to even things up.
In my mind, the guilt would eat away at me if I fell short.
If you rely on yourself to stay accountable, it's easy to get off track.
But if you choose someone that you respect and trust to help keep you accountable, it's a lot easier.
Find someone who will serve the role that Ralph played
in my business.
Trust me on this, it'll really help.
If you want me to be that person, book a call and we'll chat about it:
