I like to keep things real here. 

I wasn't super-popular in high school. 

Well-liked? Maybe ... I think I did ok.  

But I wasn't what you'd consider "cool".  

My membership in the high school debate team shot me in the foot for "cool kid" status (darn debate team!)  

Luckily, I'm 20 years out of high school and things have changed.
