My city introduced new garbage rules a while back, and it's all pretty
confusing.
In the old days, you used black bags and it was nice and simple.
Now, you have 15 different coloured bags and you have to sing your garbage a lullaby before bed or they won't pick it up on garbage day.
I'm exaggerating here, but the system isn't terribly clear.
Half the time I wake up the next morning to see some of our bags sitting at the end of the driveway,
since it didn't meet the city's garbage rules.
I've talked with my local friends who are having the same issue, and you get conflicting stories about what to do with your garbage to get it all taken away.
I understand that the city is doing its part for Mother Earth, so I'm not arguing with the goal. It's the lack of clarity that's the issue for me ...
Clarity is key for coaches as well.
Confuse your marketplace, and you'll lose them.
The city doesn't have competition over garbage, and I'm not about to start dumping it in the woods, so I'm stuck with them. For better or for worse.
We aren't that lucky. Our potential clients aren't stuck in with a monopoly. They can choose from a whole buffet of coaches, and they won't put up with confusion over what you
offer.
Confuse your marketplace, and you won't make the sale.
I'm going to be sharing a way you can keep things nice and simple for your marketplace in the next Secret Coach Club newsletter. It's worked well for clients of mine, and it can work for you too.
