Keeping it fresh

Over the last few years, I've come across some coaches who have a plan to finish their content well in advance.

They plan on recording six months' worth of videos, or a year of podcasts all at once, with the thought that they can then relax and not worry about content creation for a long time.

Although I understand their logic, I disagree with it.

Why? Because you're going to change a lot over the next year.

You'll hardly be able to recognize yourself in 365 days.

I remember the early episodes of my podcast back in 2014. Not being used to using a Blue Yeti microphone, it was too close to my nose and I was told that listeners could hear my breathing (I sounded like Darth Vader - I didn't know the darn thing was that sensitive!)

Also, I was still growing as a coach and had lots to learn. Heck, I'm still growing - and I hope I never stop.

I'm not suggesting that you always do things a day before they're set to release. That would be stressful.

But don't record/write so far in advance that you're a different person when it goes live.

With my daily emails, I like to write them the morning they're sent out, or the night before. I may scribble down a few notes to know what I'd like to talk about in the next week, but I'm not writing the emails out in advance.

I don't want them to be stale when they're released.

Showing you how to create piping hot, fresh content is a big part of my "10 Clients in 90 Days" program. It starts in less than two weeks and we've got just one spot remaining.  More details here:

Cheers,

PS: Today is May 4th, or "Star Wars Day", so I HAD to work in a Star Wars reference. May the Fourth be with you ...
