Back in 2008, Kevin Kelly wrote an article that went viral called 1000 True
Fans.
His argument was that any artist can survive, and do very well, with 1000 true fans. In his updated version of the article, he defines a "true fan":
=====
A true fan is defined as a fan that will buy anything you produce. These diehard fans will drive 200 miles to see you sing; they will buy the hardback and paperback and audible versions of your book; they will purchase your next
figurine sight unseen; they will pay for the “best-of” DVD version of your free youtube channel; they will come to your chef’s table once a month ...

This theory doesn't apply to just musicians, it applies to pretty much any industry. It works for coaches, and for any online entrepreneur.
1000 is an interesting number, because I see that as the tipping point for a Facebook group to
really get rolling.
It happened with mine. Once we hit 1000 members, the monetization really took off. And I've heard the same thing from lots of other groups owners about that magical 1000 mark.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of FB groups are stuck well under 1000 members. Many are in the 100 member ballpark, which isn't enough to do what Kelly talked about.
That's why I created my
Group Gold Program. I was tired of seeing groups languishing and the owners getting fed up and frustrated.
Plus I've learned a lot from growing a 6500 member group quickly and I wanted to monetize that knowledge (don't judge me, I'm in business!)
If you believe in the 1000 true fans theory and want to get help getting that many in your Facebook group, you can grab my program for just $148 and fifty cents (until Sunday
night at midnight). Here's how you can do it:
