Illusions of the laptop lifestyle

Today's email is being sent out a little later than usual ...

Yesterday we decided to go to the beach, and then last night we took the kids to a nearby amusement park. So I wasn't exactly "in writing mode".

It's pretty cool to have a business where I can take a weekday to tune out and hit the beach and relax, but this isn't one of those emails from someone talking about "the laptop lifestyle" and how crazy in love he is with every part of his beach-going, perfect life.

The truth is I've been working like a dog lately - especially last week with the birthday week promotion that I had going on for my Group Gold Program.  I didn't even take any time off on my birthday on Tuesday.

Although I was happy with the results of the promotion (I sold 4x my goal), I also dealt with the usual things that can happen during online sales: people forgetting to input the promo code and needing to fix that for them, answering questions about the program at all hours, and staying more active than usual by email and on social media.

Don't get me wrong: the laptop lifestyle is great and I wouldn't trade if for anything, but those who are portraying it like it's perfect aren't showing the whole side of it.

You'll still deal with frustrations, times when you feel like quitting, and periods of loneliness. It's best to know that going into it, so you can prepare for the times when everything isn't rosy.

If you'd like help building a very good (but never perfect) laptop lifestyle, a coaching business is one way to do it. Here's how:
