There's a term in podcasting called "podfading".
It's when a podcast stops
releasing shows, and sort of just fades out (I've also heard the term "podgatory" used, you know - like purgatory)
Similar fading can occur with coaching businesses, too.
I'll use this opportunity to coin the term "coachfading".
A coach hits the ground running with a flurry of activity. posts, videos, interviews ... then they go quiet.
It's not too noticeable at
first, but after awhile you look and see that the coach hasn't released anything for weeks or even months.
I can't blame them, I know it's a tough business and it's hard to stay motivated through the ups and downs.
But if you stop getting out there for even a short period of time, it's going to shoot you in the foot.
I once spoke with a coach who had a great year for revenues. So she decided to reward
herself with a three month vacation to somewhere warm and sunny, and she effectively closed her business for those 90 days.
She confessed that her business almost completely dried up. Any momentum that she built up vanished during her fun in the sun, and she had to start from scratch when she came back.
If you feel yourself "coachfading", taking action is the best way to fight it off.
But you don't have
to run around like a chicken with your head cut off.
Learn the right actions that will get you more coaching clients and customers in my Secret Coach Club newsletter.
The October issue will outline the way I revived a dead email list to become one of my primary revenue drivers. It goes to print tomorrow night - grab it here:

PS: I'm going to be emailing more than usual this weekend since the deadline for Secret Coach Club is approaching (and I've seen how SCC helps coaches). If you don't resonate with my message, feel free to unsubscribe. No hard feelings!
