I love magic.
About 12 years ago, I was in Vegas
and got to be a volunteer for a David Copperfield show.
I had to stand on a stool and hold an empty wooden bucket, while Copperfield did his thing in the middle of the stage. Then he snapped his fingers, came over to me and a duck appeared in the previously empty bucket that I was holding.
Although I had my suspicions for how he did the trick, for years I resisted the urge to Google it.
Last week,
Copperfield was forced by a judge to reveal the secret to his "Lucky 13" trick, when one of the participants was allegedly injured during it and sued him.
The trick is all about making 13 randomly selected people from the crowd come up on stage and then appear at the back of the room, and I watched the video from court showing how it's done.
I wish I hadn't watched it, because I followed it up by hopping over to Google to
learn the duck trick from so many years ago.
Magic is a lot more fun when it's a mystery, and I've carried that lesson over to business with my print newsletter - Secret Coach Club.
I don't reveal my tricks to any coaches out there - unless they're my clients OR Secret Coach Club subscribers.
Everything that I put in the pages of Secret Coach Club is exclusive content (not recycled emails,
blogs or social media posts), and since people are paying to see it I know they'll take it seriously and put it into action.
If you're ready to peek behind the curtain and learn how to get more clients into your coaching business, the May issue goes to print soon.
It's going to be a good one, since I'm walking subscribers through how to start their own print newsletters and get a lot of recurring revenue into their
pockets.
