A few months ago I was chatting with my friend Jenn Scalia, and she threw out an
acronym that I'd never heard before:
"KLT"
Embarrassingly, I asked her what KLT was, and she told me it stood for "Know, Like and Trust".
I'm aware of the phrase "Know, Like and Trust" and I say it often, but I'd never heard the acronym used that way.
KLT is important nowadays, when potential clients are being hammered by ads and pitches from every which direction. If
you can warm them up and let them get to KLT you, you'll have a lot more luck getting their business.
One way that I get people to KLT me is with my Secret Coach Club newsletter.
It's physically delivered to their mailbox every month, and I even add a perk where SCC subscribers can email me to "pick my brain".
I've gotten to know a lot of my subscribers well, and the result is they get to know, like and
trust me.
The cool thing is a lot of my 1:1 and group coaching spots are filled by people who get to KLT me from being a Secret Coach Club subscriber first.
It's been people all over the world - one of my recent coaching clients, Alpa, is from India and first became familiar with me from subscribing to my newsletter.
If you want a great way for KLT, you should start a print newsletter as
well.
You can learn how to do it in the May issue of Secret Coach Club - where I'll spend the whole issue walking you through how to add a print newsletter to your offerings.
It goes to print in two days, secure yours here:
