Spoiler alert: if you have a hard copy newsletter, some subscribers
will leave.
It's called "churn". Churn is when people stop their subscriptions, and it's something that's impossible to avoid.
It's just par for the course, it goes with the territory.
You could have the best newsletter in the world, and some people will inevitably drop off.
I'm not suggesting that you not take steps to reduce it, since churn is the equivalent of having
some holes in your boat. If you have enough of them, your boat is going to sink into the water.
The best way to reduce churn for your newsletter is to make it the best darn newsletter it can be. Put yourself in your subscribers' shoes and ask if what you're including inside its pages is helping them to the best of your ability.
Make sure they can't wait to get your newsletter in the mail every month, and to rip open the envelope
and start reading it with pen and highlighter in hand.
