A member of my Facebook group recently asked this
question:
=====
It is confession time.
I have allowed my email list to grow cold and I need to start warming it back up. What are some tips and tricks on how to warm that bad boy up and get the fire going?
=====
This is a great question, since I see so many coaches struggling with the same issue.
My suggestion to him is to start back up with contacting his people,
and not make a big fuss about it.
You stopped emailing your subscribers, it's not the end of the world or anything.
I've heard others suggest that you apologize, grovel and beg for forgiveness. Some advise to explain why you've been quiet, or lay out why you'll be better going forward (it kinda sounds like someone begging for forgiveness after cheating on their spouse).
When people go
overboard with apologizing over this, it puts them in a position of weakness and doesn't exactly inspire confidence in hiring them or investing in one of their offerings down the road. It could plant the seed in the back of the prospect's mind of "well, he/she disappeared before - will that happen if I hire them?"
If you have a guilty conscience and absolutely have to confess your sin, apologize but don't overdo it. A simple "Sorry I went MIA for awhile, but
I'm back now" should be fine. Then move on and get to it.
It's not the end of the world that you stopped messaging, just commit to being more consistent going forward.
If you'd like help staying on track with the actions that you need to take for your coaching business, my 10 Clients In 90 Days group program is for you.
Accountability is a big part of the program, and I'll make sure you
don't go MIA.
The next group starts up this month, and there are a few spots remaining.
Stop your apologizing and head over here:
