A few years back, I heard something that has stuck with me ever
since.
I had Bob Burg (author of The Go-Giver) as a guest on my podcast, and during the interview he told me:
"Money is an echo of value".
What he meant by that is if you put enough value out into the world, it'll be reflected in your bank account.
If your wallet isn't as full as you'd like it means that you haven't put enough value out there
yet.
Most people have problems, and they'll gladly pay for help to solve them. You just have to reach those people with your solution.
I have Bob's quote taped on my office wall so I can be reminded of it every day.
I think so much of that quote that I also placed it in the center of a "coaching circle" diagram that I shared on the live training that I did a few days ago.
That
diagram shows the eight steps to create a successful coaching business, and the quote is in the middle of it to hammer home that if you aren't providing value it doesn't matter what you're doing as a coach ... you won't be compensated the way that you want.
