It's not always easy for rookies to excel in
sports.
There's the inexperience, the big learning curve, and the pressure that comes from massive expectations.
It doesn't help to have thousands of eyeballs staring at you from the stands, and a lot more on television and over the Internet.
For these reasons, it's not uncommon for new players to take awhile to get their first hit or goal.
In the NHL, Steve Halko played
six seasons and didn't score a single career goal in 155 games (a record).
But in most cases, once the player gets on the scoreboard a few times, the rest come more quickly and with less hair-pulling.
The same goes for coaches.
Like in sports, it's usually the first few clients who are the hardest to get ... and once that happens the coach is "off to the races".
Not to get
into energy fields or woo-woo stuff (I'm not a woo-woo guy), but those first clients give the coach confidence that others can detect. They get a bounce in their step, and prospects can sense that.
Unfortunately, a lot of coaches never get those early clients .. so their businesses never get off the ground.
That's why I focus on helping coaches get 10 new clients in my 10 Clients In 90 Days
program.
I work directly with just a handful of people in this group (a maximum of 6), to get them some early wins (and revenue).
The next group starts up in a few weeks, and we have just a few spots remaining for it.
