Here's a common question that gets asked often during podcast
interviews:
"If you were forced to start business all over again with just $500 in your pocket, what would you do?"
The question sometimes is a variation of this, like only having $100, or being dropped on a distant planet that resembles Earth except you don't know a single soul, but they all have the same objective.
If you had no money, no connections, nothing at all ... what would you
do?
It's a tough question to answer in a short, witty 30-second soundbite, but here's how I answer it:
First off, I would do some research to find out what people need help with, and I would then craft an offer to help them with that.
It's the old "feed a starving crowd" thing, but it's not always common sense since many online entrepreneurs create a solution where no problem
exists.
I don't care what you do, if you don't have something that people want you can forget about it - go find a pub or casino on the alien planet and have some fun with your 500 bucks.
Choosing my offer would cost me zero dollars, just some time.
Once I decided on my offer, I would start to build an email list by going where those people hang out and offering a freebie (lead magnet) in exchange for
their email addresses.
This would cost a few bucks for my email platform (Actually, I could pay for the whole year of email with the $500)
Then I would email my list daily with my offer in every single email.
There you go ...
No long nurturing, handholding sequences where I pretend that I'm not selling anything.
No fancy funnels with
tripwires or anything crazy.
My daily email funnel is actually very simple, and looks nothing like the chalkboard that Russell Crowe worked out his fancy equations on in "A Beautiful Mind".
And it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
There you have it, a game plan if you ever find yourself on Mars with a tight budget.
If you'd like to learn how I use daily
emails to get more clients and customers, my Daily Email System will show you how to do it.
