I'm often asked to name my favourite book during podcast
interviews.
Without hesitation I give my answer:
"Thick Face, Black Heart" by Chin-Ning Chu.
(I spread the word and plug this book so often that you'd swear I'm being compensated by the estate of the author. I'm a walking, talking billboard for the thing ...)
It's not as well-known as some of the personal development classics like "Think And Grow Rich" or "How To Win Friends And Influence People", and you won't find an audio version on Audible either (I check once every few months hoping that changes, but am always disappointed. If anyone from Audible is reading this please make it happen)
Since I first discovered it back in 2014, it's become a constant companion and I read it at least a few times every year since it's one of those ones that you pick up something new every time you go through it.
I think so much of it that I send copies of the book to clients and "Secret Coach Club" subscribers as part of their welcome package.
It's hard to give a short, concise answer to why I'm such a fan of it, so I decided to dedicate the June issue of "Secret Coach Club" to explaining the lessons I've learned from "Thick Face, Black Heart" and how you can apply them to your coaching business.
The deadline to subscribe in time is this Friday at midnight EST:
