Nowadays you're being pulled in every which direction, and being told that you have to be on the newest social media platform if you want to be successful.
You've been seeing this over the last week with Threads, but it's been going on for years - before Threads there was Periscope, Clubhouse,
and a bunch of others that were being shoved down your throat.
Since many have gone the way of the Dodo bird, I give podcasting credit for standing the test of time.
I've been in the podcasting game since 2014, but I know
people who have been at it longer than that - including a friend of mine who started doing it way back in 2006!
And while some have predicted the death of podcasts, the medium keeps chugging along with no end in sight.
If you don't have a podcast yet why should you start one?
Justin Moore from Podigy Podcasts gives a few excellent points:
- They give you an excuse to interview highly-respected contacts in your professional network and boost your
credibility
- They create tons of authentic content from conversations you should be having anyways
- Podcast episodes answer FAQs and save you tons of time
-They give a creative outlet to help people and share your passion
- They're a way to outsource content without sacrificing the "personal" feeling of it
Justin is doing a live training for my community tomorrow at 1 pm EST around his "1-Hour Podcast Method", where he's showing how an hour of work per week can equal a month of content.
