In "Level Up Your Life", Steve Kamb talks about the various phases to achieving your goals.
Phase 1 is where you're collecting information on whatever topic floats your boat. You're reading books, watching Youtube videos, listening to podcasts, and so on.
Phase 2 is figuring out what to do with the knowledge you've been gathering.
And Phase 3 is reaching the promised land!
Kamb argues (and I agree with him) that people spend too much time in the first phase, instead of taking action on what they're learning about.
He writes:
"Spend 10 percent of your time and effort on Phase 1, and
90 percent on trying out the new things you are learning. Paint your first terrible picture. Write the first chapter of a book that will never be read. Ask somebody out and get shot down. Save money for a trip and book the damn thing. Start a crappy blog. Record a few awful podcasts. Pluck a few wrong notes on a guitar. Pronounce words incorrectly in a foreign language ..."
While I can't help you with the guitar (since I'm bad at that) or to speak a foreign language, I can help you do three big things that will get your coaching business rocking and rolling.
