I'm a fan of Elvis (long live The King), but I was never a fan of his manager, Colonel Tom Parker.
I'd heard the stories of him screwing Elvis out of what should have been his, and putting additional pressure on him that probably led to his death.
But I try to
keep an open mind, reminding myself that I can learn from people I don't like, so I read a biography of him recently.
And lo and behold - I pulled some valuable nuggets out of that book ...
