In his book "This is Marketing", Seth Godin dropped a gem for coaches:

It's easier to make products and services for the customers you seek to serve than it is to find customers for your products and services ..."

Following this advice will allow you to avoid the mistake of spending months (or in some cases, years) creating something only to have nobody buy it.
The market will tell you what it wants, if you take time to listen and engage.
