Are you working with coaching clients from outside your local area?
A lot of coaches do 100% of their business locally, but then COVID restrictions hit and threw a wrench into that.
While I expect things to get back to normal and Starbucks meetings to resume, I'd encourage you to look outside your town or city (your sandbox), because it’s a big world out there with lots of people to help.
I’ve built my business 100% online and with most who aren’t even in my home country of Canada. I have worked with the odd local client who comes to me from listening to my podcast or seeing my stuff online, but I don’t target these clients … and I still work with them on Zoom just as I would with my clients in the US or any other country.
I've heard from a number of coaches who want to build up their businesses locally first, and then expand out from there.
I say it's best to go online and International sooner rather than later.
Clients don’t care what your ZIP code is, what your last name is, whether you can name their capital city, or if you know the history of where they’re from …
They want results!
If you can help them get results it doesn’t matter if you’re a mile away or 5,000 miles from them. They’ll work with a coach in the North Pole if it gets them what they want (maybe Santa should become a coach?)
If you'd like help building a thriving online coaching business, look no further than my Secret Coach Club hard copy newsletter.
