Glancing at the books on my shelf, I see a bunch around the subject of power, like:
- "The 48 Laws Of Power" by Robert Greene (Greene's other books are great too)
- "Thick Face, Black Heart" by Chin-Ning Chu (one of my personal favourites)
- "The Power Bible" by Wiliiam Beteet III
- "The Ruthless Leader" by Alistair McAlpine
- "Psychological Warfare" by Neil Morton
- And the all-time classic on the subject - "The Prince" by Machiavelli
A lot of people (including coaches) bristle at reading about power. They think it's not something they need to focus on, or is somehow unbecoming to talk about.
But if you don't understand how to obtain/maintain power you're going to get walked over out there.
You'll be stood up on calls, you won't be paid what you're worth, and you'll get jerked around by clients and prospects while those who have it prosper.
If you aren't afraid to dive into a detailed look at power, I'm dedicating most of the April issue of the Secret Coach Club hard copy newsletter to it.
It goes to the printer soon, so the deadline to get in is tomorrow at midnight EST.
