Online entrepreneurs often play "too
tight".
I'm reminded of the 2015 Toronto Blue Jays ...
That year they went on a real roll (especially in the 2nd half of the season) and they made the playoffs for the first time in 22 years.
As I settled down that October to watch the first playoff game in Canada since 1993, I was one proud Canuck.
But then something happened.
The team, which was a powerhouse during the season, changed.
The wheels fell off in that first game against the Texas Rangers, and they didn’t get any better by losing game two.
They went from playing like an unbeatable team to
playing like the Bad News Bears …
The Jays dug themselves a big hole, but they managed to make a miraculous comeback to win the series (Google “Jose Bautista Bat Flip” to see what I mean) and advance to the next round.
How did they do it?
They lost the first two games of the best-of-five series, so they
expected they'd lose it (as they'd have to win three straight games to win the series, very hard to do)
So they loosened up and just had fun while playing ball, and things turned around for them, winning three games in a row.
The same goes for entrepreneurs, who could benefit from taking the pressure off and just having fun (I get it, it's not always easy to
do!).
