When someone books a call with you, do you
actually show up?
Sounds obvious, right?
But you'd be shocked how many coaches ghost on scheduled calls.
I call this being OTB, or "on the ball."
It means doing things when you're supposed to do them (crazy concept, I know!)
A coach recently booked a call with me ...
and he didn't show up.
Two days later sent a casual "sorry, I had a conflict" email asking to reschedule.
I said no.
Not because I'm a jerk - but because if you can't respect my time for a free strategy call I don't expect you to respect future calls.
My rule:
I wait
5 minutes for our scheduled time.
That's it - after that, I'm gone.
Some coaches wait 10 minutes. Fine. But I'm not sitting around for 20 or 40 minutes like I used to back when I first started online.
Here's the thing - if you show up when you say you will, you immediately separate yourself from a huge chunk of coaches who
don't.
In my latest Natural Born Coaches episode, I break down this and other acronyms that'll help your coaching business.
