Here are four ingredients that are guaranteed to increase sales
during a promotion:
1) Limit availability of the offer
I'm not suggesting that you do the false scarcity thing. I laugh when I see Internet Marketers say "Only five remain!!!" when they're selling a digital product with an infinite supply (technically they could sell 1,000,000 of them if the demand was there).
This week I've been promoting my laser coaching program, and I capped it at just 8 spots (in my case, I couldn't work with many more than that, even if I wanted to)
2) Offer bonuses
Bonuses will push the people on the fence off of it. I suggest giving a good bonus with actual value. For example, for my laser coaching promotion I'm giving everyone 3 issues of my Secret Coach Club hard copy newsletter as a bonus - those sell for $97 each, so that's $291 of real value.
3) Have a Deadline
Choose a deadline, and enforce it. I recommend going with a time as well (not just a day, since that's vague).
With my laser coaching promotion, I chose tonight at midnight EST for my deadline - after that it's closed and won't open up again until late 2019.
4) Consistency
You can't expect to talk about something once or twice and that'll sell it. If you've followed my stuff this week, you've seen me talking a lot about laser coaching (so much so that you're probably sick of hearing about it). Between emails, social media posts, videos, etc I'm hammering it hard because I've learned that you have to do that.
Don't slow down on the last day of your promotion. Some think; "Well, I've already talked enough about it this week" and take their foot off the gas. There will be time to take a breather the day after the promotion ends ... but a lot of sales are made in the final hours leading up to the deadline, so now isn't the time to hold back.
There you have it, these things will help you sell more during your next promotion ...
