One of my favourite movies as a teenager
was "Wayne's World".
It has so many memorable catchphrases and scenes. One that I always liked was where the heroes, Wayne and Garth, are handed a contract by the villain - played by Rob Lowe.
They claim they're between lawyers, make up a story about fighting that lawyer, and then Wayne skims the contract and pretends to understand the legalese (when he clearly doesn't)
He puts on a serious face:
"Yes, yes ... I like what you've done here ..."
While coaches aren't hosting late night cable TV shows in their basements and don't have the same legal concerns as Wayne and Garth, they have to make business decisions that can be confusing.
For example, how do you set up your business?
LLC's ...
LP's ...
C-Corps ...
S-Corps ...
Sole proprietorship ...
Relying on Google to make decisions around how to set up your coaching business is a lot like trying to take a sip of water from a firehose ("C-Corp vs. S-Corp" shoots out 1,170,000,000 results in 0.64 seconds)
If you'd like clarity around this stuff, Nick Fortune is doing a training tomorrow on it.
He gave me a sneak peek and he's got a way of presenting that keeps it fun and interesting.
