Here's a crazy statistic that I learned from Tiji Thomas.
In a recent conversation, he told me that studies have found that when two people are talking, 45% of the time the person who’s supposed to be listening isn’t actually doing it (they're instead thinking about what to say).
He went on to tell me that another 45% of the time they're thinking about when they can interject and say what they want to say.
Using these numbers, 90% of the time people aren't listening to the other person!
Because of this, Tiji favours the "Socratic Method" with his sales conversations, where he spends a large majority of the time actually listening to the other person.
This approach has led to he and his team being responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in sales over the last 12 years, without the usual stress and arm-twisting that would take.
Tiji is going to share more in a live training that we're doing on Thursday ... if you're looking for a unique, easier way to sell you'll want to check it out.
